Instructions for Students

Instructions for Students

At Christ the King Senior Secondary International School (CIS), discipline, responsibility, and academic integrity are essential values that all students must uphold. The following rules and guidelines must be strictly followed to maintain a positive learning environment.

General Discipline & Attendance

  • Punctuality is mandatory. Students arriving late or absent on the previous day must submit a signed note from their parents to the class teacher.
  • Personal belongings are the student’s responsibility. The school is not responsible for any loss of expensive jewelry or ornaments, which are strongly discouraged.
  • Students must be neat and well-groomed, wearing the complete school uniform. Shirts must be tucked in, and hair and nails should be properly maintained.
  • Changing classrooms between periods must be done silently and in an orderly manner.
  • Every student must carry the school diary daily, with their parent’s signature for verification.
  • The bell before a class or assembly must be followed promptly.

Academic & Examination Rules

  • Students must attend all tests and examinations. No retest or re-exam will be conducted for absentees.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the school premises during school hours without the Principal’s written permission.

Parental Interaction & School Property

  • Parents and relatives are not allowed to meet students or teachers during school hours unless permitted by the Principal.
  • Any damage to school property by a student must be replaced or compensated by the student.

Behavioral Expectations

  • Regular attendance, active participation, and responsible behavior are expected at all times.
  • Indiscipline, neglect of homework, disobedience, malpractice in exams, or disrespect towards teachers may lead to expulsion from school.
  • Students must be present on the reopening day after any vacation.

Withdrawal & Promotion Policies

  • If a student wants to discontinue studies, the full annual fee must be paid before the Transfer Certificate (TC) is issued.
  • Promotion to the next class is based on continuous assessment of homework, attendance, classroom behavior, exams, and overall effort.

English Communication & Prohibited Items

  • As English is the medium of instruction, students must converse only in English while on school premises.
  • Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the school campus.

Classroom Conduct & Discipline Cards

  • Active participation in class is expected, and teachers will grade students based on engagement and effort.
  • Discipline Cards System
    • Green Card: Awarded to well-disciplined students.
    • Yellow Card: Issued for lateness in arrival, attendance issues, or delayed work submission.
    • Red Card: Given for serious indiscipline in class, school, or bus. Three Red Cards will result in severe disciplinary action.

These guidelines ensure a safe, structured, and academically productive environment for all students at CIS.
