General Note to Parents
At Christ the King Senior Secondary International School (CIS), we strongly believe that a child’s development is a shared responsibility between the school and parents. While the school provides structured academic learning and character-building activities, home study and parental supervision play a crucial role in reinforcing classroom learning and fostering independent study habits.

Parental Role in Home Study
- Encourage daily study routines at home.
- Provide a quiet and distraction-free environment for learning.
- Monitor and assist with homework completion and concept clarity.
- Engage in discussions about school lessons to enhance understanding.
- Ensure that the child develops self-discipline and responsibility in managing their academic workload.
Recommended Study Hours at Home
The following guidelines suggest ideal home study durations based on grade levels:
- Foundational Level (KG - Grade II): Up to 1 hour of study & guided learning activities.
- Preparatory Level (Grades III - V): Up to 2 hours of structured home study.
- Middle School (Grades VI - VIII): 3 to 4 hours of independent study, practice, and revision.
- Secondary & Senior Secondary (Grades IX - XII): 5+ hours of in-depth study, self-preparation, and exam-focused revision.
Your active involvement, encouragement, and consistent monitoring will help your child achieve academic excellence, develop strong study habits, and build confidence in their learning journey.
We appreciate your support in ensuring that education extends beyond the classroom and into a nurturing home environment.
